First Public Showcase!
We just had our first public showcase of Minimum Mage Meals. The public reception was pretty nice, the fact that the new build was considerably more user friendly helped a lot. The current build, Available Now, has a main menu area, sounds for most things, tutorials, and a playable "day" of cooking.
We have received a lot of constructive criticism that we are looking into implementing, but overall the subjects players had a lot of fun throwing food around and lighting it on fire. The core gameplay loop of spawning food, setting food on fire, and then throwing said food across an empty restaurant seems to be pretty fun, so we think we're on the right track.
The functionality of the tutorials is looking into being adjusted, we found most people tried to grab at the graphics of the tutorial to grab an item, so we decided that we might as well program that in as a feature. We are also working on making it easier to tell when a food item goes from "raw" to "cooked". Look forward to that in a future update either during the summer or in the fall.
We are aware of one bug that crashes the game, but are unable to replicate it consistently, so be careful cooking half-a-chicken.
